Can a TheraFlex® gel pack go directly on skin?

Always use a cover or towel between the pack and the skin. Direct contact with a frozen or heated pack can irritate skin or cause a burn. A thin cloth barrier protects the patient and still transfers the temperature effectively.

If the pack punctures or tears, is the gel safe?

Yes. TheraFlex® Hot and Cold Therapy Packs uses a semi-solid gel with no liquids or dyes, so the contents stay contained rather than spilling. The gel is non-toxic, non-caustic, and biodegradable!

How do you heat a TheraFlex® pack?

Microwave it or warm it in hot water. The gel holds its pad-like shape at high temperatures instead of turning liquid, so the pack stays easy to position.

Does the pack stay flexible in the freezer?

Yes. TheraFlex® bends and wraps around joints straight out of the freezer. It also keeps its thickness through the bend, so you do not lose coverage at the fold.

How many times can a TheraFlex® pack be reused?

TheraFlex® is built for repeat clinical use and can be frozen and reheated many times over.

What sizes do TheraFlex® packs come in?

Seven sizes, from a 4″ x 6″ small pack up to a 12″ x 15″ X-Large. There is also a 4″ x 11″ cervical pack shaped for the neck and shoulders. Case quantities range from 3 to 24 units depending on size.

Is TheraFlex® the same as your shipping gel packs?

No. TheraFlex® is a healthcare product for therapeutic and clinical use. Cold Ice® and EverCold® gel refrigerants are built for cold chain shipping and are not intended for treatment.
